Dancer of Ranah overview

Dancer of Ranah is an optional boss in the Southern Nameless Mausoleum, an isolated arena on the Cerulean Coast in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Dancer of Ranah is a fast humanoid warrior who fights with paired curved blades. Her attack pattern is built around continuous movement, short slashes and extended spinning sequences, so the encounter rewards patience more than repeated trades. The boss is encountered inside the Southern Nameless Mausoleum rather than as part of a required main-story route.

The Southern Nameless Mausoleum is reached from the Cerulean Coast area by making your way to the isolated southern island and entering the mausoleum. The fight begins when you cross into the boss arena, and there is no quest conversation or puzzle sequence required once the arena is reached. The main practical challenge is finding the optional location and then managing Dancer of Ranah's mobility.

Her paired-blade style gives her more reach and attack coverage than a normal humanoid opponent, particularly while she is rotating through a longer combo. The safest openings are generally created after the sequence ends or when she has committed to a forward attack; trying to interrupt every motion can leave a slow weapon user caught by the next swing.

Defeating Dancer of Ranah is worthwhile for players who use Dexterity-oriented curved-blade weapons or want a distinctive paired weapon. The boss awards Dancing Blade of Ranah, making the encounter a direct equipment choice rather than a required progression gate. Players who are only following the main story can leave the mausoleum for later without blocking the expansion's central route.
